Access to Facilities

OLD RECTORY B&B, NORTH KILWORTH

ACCESS TO GUEST FACILITIES

The Old Rectory Bed and Breakfast accommodation comprises two double en-suite rooms and guest breakfast room within a first floor annex to the Old Rectory itself. We hope that the following information will allow you to assess the suitability of the facilities provided but if you need any further information please contact us by telephone (01858 881130) or email info@oldrectorybandb.co.uk.

Pre-arrival

Given our rural location the most practical means of arrival is by car (see website above for directions) or taxi from Rugby or Market Harborough railway stations. Please provide an approximate arrival time in advance so that we can ensure we are here to meet you.

Parking

We have free off-road car parking for guests on a tarmac surface adjacent to (and in view of) the guest accommodation. Cycles can be kept overnight in a locked outbuilding on request.

 Access to rooms

Access to the first floor guest area is via a concrete floored passageway (with a gradient of approximately 1 in 10) leading under the rooms to an external metal staircase of 11 steps leading to the first floor entrance. We are happy to carry bags to and from the car park for guests, please let us know in advance if there are any unusually heavy loads.

Doors and flooring

The first floor entrance door and all internal doors are 2’ 5” (74cm) wide. Bedrooms have fitted short pile carpets, en suite bathrooms have tiled floors and the corridor and breakfast room have wooden laminated floors with some carpet runners.

Meals

Breakfast is prepared in our own domestic kitchen and served in the first floor breakfast area. If you have any special dietary requirements please discuss these with us prior to booking. We will try and meet your requirements within the constraints imposed by availability of ingredients and the use of our own kitchen. We don’t provide evening meals or lunches. Details of a selection of local pubs, restaurants and take-aways are provided and the breakfast area has sink, microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge for guests to prepare their own snacks if required.

Bathrooms

All toilet and bathroom facilities for guests are en-suite. Bathrooms contain standard domestic WC, bath with shower within bath and wash basin with mirror and shaver socket. Bath sides are approx 22” (56cm) high. The washbasins are bowl style on tiled platform with rims approx. 37” (94cm) high. (See photo on website).

Attendance/Access times

A bell button is provided in the kitchen area to attract our attention in the main house. Please let us know if you anticipate needing assistance other than at agreed arrival, departure or breakfast times as the normal demands of family life mean that we cannot guarantee to be in attendance at all times during your stay. As the access to the B&B rooms is independent of the main house guests are free to come and go as they please during their stay. Rooms are normally available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival until 10:00 am on the day of departure but we will be happy to try and accommodate special requirements if discussed with us when booking.
